Week 35 in LA--My Week in Review

Hey everyone to start off here is a really good quote from an unknown source, "When you finally let go of the past, something better comes along."

So on Monday we hung out with the Farsi Elders Hatch, Kramer, and Wonmacott. We went to Little Toyko again and we also got some Ice Cream from the Grand Central Market in downtown LA.

Tuesday we had a regular day knocking doors and having fun.

Wednesday we had ward correlation and we talked about how to get the members interested in sharing the gospel, so we decided to show chapel tour videos after church as people were leaving from sacrament.

Thursday we had another day tracking, talked to some interesting people and I hope that they will call us so we can share the gospel with them.

Friday I got to be apart of a very spiritual lesson with Elias one of my investigators, we talked in depth about the Plan of Salvation and he was definitely feeling the spirit and I know that as when he prayed he was greatful for the spirit.

Saturday my companion Elder Whitmore got mid-cycled to a new area, I don't know where but I am now in a trio for the rest of the transfer. My new companions are Elder Yi and Elder Seiple. Elder Yi is from Texas and Elder Seiple is from Salem, Utah. We went teaching on UCLA campus and we talked to a lot of college kids that were our age which was really cool. I felt really comfortable on campus and it was hot and fun. We had a member dinner with a cool family and they were good company.

Sunday I went to church with Elder Vola and Montgomery as my trio is double covering ward's that meet at the same time, and it was an awesome day at church. We set up the TV to play the videos and we got a member to sit and watch and she asked if we could do a chapel tour right then! We were kinda blindsided but we said yes! So they came and we gave a super spiritual tour and we talked about eternal families and in the chapel the spirit was so strong that many in the tour were in tears. After that I went to another dinner with a nice young couple. The Lewis, they gave us Elders so much advice about after the mission it was awesome.

Today is looking to be a good day as well so I can't wait to tell you about it later, thanks for reading my email this week and here is a scripture for you to do ish off the weekly from me. (I was trying to translate what that last sentence was supposed to say but I've got nothing--haha)

"19 ¶ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19,20
